I have been using essential oils for many years now. Personally, I love my Young Living Essential Oils, as these are the purest to my knowledge. I know there are others out there, but these are the ones I am the most familiar with and have grown quite attached to. I use different kinds for different things, such as “Peace and Calming” for sleep, “Stress Away” for stress, “Yling-Ylang” for meditation, “Digize” for constipation, Thieves for strengthening the immune system if needed, Peppermint for congestion … the list just keeps on going on. I also have Essential Oils for adding to my food or drinks. I have quite a few favorite essential oils in my cabinets, such as Orange, tangerine, Grapefruit and Lemon. These are the oils I like to add to my water, ice-tea, seltzer or hot tea.

Most importantly lemon essential oil just tastes fresh and ads a little twist to my drinks. Every morning after I get up and do my workout, I drink a full 16oz. glass of water with Lemon Essential oil. It refreshes me after getting crazy sweaty, plus it to keeps things moving.

Lemon Essential oil is known to have the potential to help with circulatory problems, anxiety, hypertension, digestive problems and obesity. Young Living Essential Oil is cold pressed from the rind and it takes approximately 3000 lemons to produce 1 Kilo of oil. This information comes directly from my essential Oils Desk reference book.

Essential oils have become a part of my life, back in the day when everything needed to change for me to get healthy again. I was never one to take much of any kind of medications. I take the occasional Advil if I have to and that’s about it. Growing up in Germany I never grew up with much medication. My family believed in a lot of Homeopathy treatments. I remember my grandmother always putting something on my forehead or tongue of some kind of natural consistency. I think I may have had less than a handful of Antibiotics my whole life, so when I discovered Essential Oils, I instantly became a fan.

I’m not saying that essential oils will take care of things that need medical attention, but for my everyday use, it adds the right support to my life.
