Welcome to your first challenge, I am so happy you decided to join me, in living 2020 healthier. Quitting sugar is tuff, but together we can do it.
This is a small guide to what your grocery list should look like, you can use the link below as well to get clear on any confusion.
A large variety of Vegetables: I buy mostly organic
Anything leafy green ( spinach, kale, swiss chard, bock joy, arugula…)
Variety of Fruits; I buy organic as much as I can
Berries, always buy organic as these have the most pesticides 2019 Strawberries were number 1 in pesticides.
No dried fruits in this challenge as they contain too much sugar
2 kinds of fats:
such as grass-fed butter,
Organic Olive oil,
Protein sources such as grass-fed, hormone-free no antibiotic-free
Free running, pasture-raised eggs
Unsweetened nut milk or
Grass-fed plain, whole milk dairy
Dr. Mark Hyman’s list of good fats and bad fats. I know he didn’t mention cheese in this but we can have cheeses as long as it is good quality cheese that has gone through an aging and fermentation process, such as camembert, brie….
This strictly is a guide, you don’t need to buy everything on the list but try to have a good variety these are just ideas.
